Shimmering glazes highlight voluptuous lips and impertinent grimaces in ceramic by Tatiana Cardonawho runs the Female Alchemy shop (previously). Based in Miami, the artist draws on a love of vibrant color with an emphasis on pinks and reds, creating functional sculptures embellished with expressive facial features. Inspired by the feminist movement of the 60s and 70s, when wearing bright red lipstick was used as a form of protest, she focuses on creating vibrant objects that are as powerful as they are fun.
